KJ Konkin, Owner/Operator/Facilitator

Krista - or KJ as she is known to many - was raised in Moose Jaw, SK. She studied dance at Doris Sitter School of Dance, graduated from Peacock Collegiate and went onto study Theatre & Drama at University of Toronto and Musical Theatre Performance at Sheridan College before launching a professional career. For the next decade KJ acted, sang and danced her way across Canada and abroad, adding countless shows to her resume as a performer. Even at this young age, she would find herself writing, directing, choregraphing, producing and facilitating when she wasn't on stage. In her 30s she found herself moving back to Saskatchewan after a decade in Toronto and Vancouver.

It was then that she started Live Out Loud Theatre, which went on to create, produce and run several successful productions, as well as run countless workshops in every corner of Saskatchewan. After the birth of her daughter, Sawyer, KJ took the position of Artistic Director of Ptarmigan Arts on Pender Island, BC and spent from 2015-2018 resurrecting the organization to become a thriving arts hub on the Southern Gulf Islands. Returning back to Saskatchewan, KJ found herself in the seat of Interim Executive Director of Dance Saskatchewan from 2019-2020. In 2021 she launched Live Out Loud Marketing.

But it wasn't until recently that she found herself called to offer programming of her own once again. Rebranding Live Out Loud Theatre to Live Out Loud Performing Arts, KJ is thrilled to be playing once more with the youth of this province...and this time she gets to involve her role as Mama and include her very talented daughter in the endeavour.

Leon Willey, Actor/Singer/Dancer and Facilitator

Leon has been teaching and acting for 1000 years. Currently, is the on-staff Performing Arts teacher at Prairie Sky School in Regina and was happy to be back on stage this past Christmas playing the leading role in Its A Wonderful Life at Persephone Theatre in Saskatoon. As restrictions are lifting, it is exciting to see theatre coming back to life in Saskatchewan. Leon has been a professional actor for most of his life, and has been performing in theatres across Canada.

He hopes to inspire creativity and storytelling within all of his students, and instil the same love he has for being on stage with everybody he is lucky enough to work with, most significant his beautiful daughter Sawyer.
